Trust sweet iron pony hanging cheek bit Trust

The pony hanging cheek is specially designed for ponies. The hanging cheek is an eggbut variant where smaller rings are attached on top of the rings. On the upper rings you attach the cheekpieces, and on the eggbut rings the reins. This gives the bit a slight leverage effect. The hanging cheek is often used by pony riders in the highest classes but can also be used to ease the step from a regular snaffle to double bridle.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity, the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more, which in turn will encourage a better acceptance of the bit.
